Well, they’re not.
Except for this interesting tidbit that, when Novell‘s privatization and acquisition by Attachmate goes through and Novell becomes a private company again, Chipotle will take Novell’s place in the S&P 500, according to a post on the Nasdaq website.
Chipotle Mexican Grill Inc. (CMG) will replace Novell Inc. (NOVL) in the Standard & Poor’s 500 index, as the software maker is being taken private by a group of private-equity firms.
A reward for giving up our spot to the Mexican-Food Establishment? I wish they would open up a Chipotle in our Provo office’s East Bay Cafe food court! If anything else, the presence of a Chipotle on campus might get Novell a little airtime on ThisWeekinGoogle…
